The Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) Cardiology Centre is on track for completion by August, according to the Medical Trust Fund, marking a significant milestone for Ghana's healthcare sector.

Once operational, the centre is expected to expand access to specialised cardiac care for patients in the Ashanti Region and across the country. It will reduce the need for many Ghanaians to travel abroad for heart-related treatment, helping to ease the financial burden on families while improving access to life-saving services.

The Medical Trust Fund says work on the facility is progressing as planned, reinforcing its commitment to strengthening Ghana's healthcare infrastructure. The project is widely seen as a major investment in the country's capacity to diagnose and treat cardiovascular diseases locally.
